Re: Another mystery Station.

It looks like Carnwath Station, to the left of the Porter is the Station name but very blurred, it is a rare photograph in Caley days, is it possible to obtain a copy for the CRA Photo Archive, please.
Here is one for comparison taken in the 1930,s.

If you require a larger copy I can forward as an attachment but I am not sure how "private messages" work on the Forum - the modern "IT" world keeps getting faster, and I am due to fall off soon!

Re: Wagon Colours

These are two photographs of a GNSR 10Ton Ballast Wagon taken at SRPS B'oness Museum last year. It has recently been refurbished, hence the "shiny" paint job and the interior of the Wagon has had a new floor lain but the original Drop-side doors look original - unpainted - rough wood with cracks - s...

Re: Oxford Rail Cowans-Sheldon 15t Crane.

Beautiful Model Jim, you must be feeling very proud of your achievement - Well done! Back to the Oxford Rail Model of the 15Ton Crane, would it be possible to remove the top cut-out and then super glue the top half of the Jib to the lower portion? I would imagine there would be a few MM out but coul...

Re: Oxford Rail Cowans-Sheldon 15t Crane.

Took me a little while to find this photo, filed away in a "safe place" only to forgot where it was. It should give more information on the Crane Jib and Lining as mentioned before. Hopefully making it clear what the differences are, will it be possible to convert the Oxford Model to a Caledonian Ra...

Hopefully this Drawing of the CR 15Ton Crane is readable and not too small.
It is a copy of a Drawing from the now defunct Model Railway Constructor Magazine.

I too think it must be the light effect, CR 310A would have been in the Darker Blue.

Bearsden Wagon Works - Gauge 0 Wagons

There have been a number of Caledonian Railway Wagons, Gauge O, for Sale on E-bay of late and they were marked on the underside "BEARSDEN WAGON WORKS 2002". I believe they were the work of Ronnie Cockburn, a stalwart of the Caledonian Railway Association from it's early inception away back in the 19...

This a GWR circular on Cord Communication for August 1883. Would other Railway Companies have a similar system based on ...

Re: Carriages at Perth pre-1877

I purchased this Postcard dated 1904 of the Carriage Sidings at "Perth from Barnhill", the Carriages in the foreground appear to be very early pre-1877, 4 Oil Lamps on the roofs, perhaps someone can identify them?
Although posted on 21/07/1904 the photograph must be much earlier.
