Re: Jumbos on Ebay
Sorry you've lost me how is it masquerading as an 812 class, surely some Jumbos were painted blue as well. This one either Jumbo or 812 shouldn't be blue but black as it's not fitted with an air pump but no where can I see it being claimed as an 812 its only referred to as a Jumbo?

Re: Early coach axleboxes/springs
As Tony says they have the potential to be very usefull, if you are considering an etch of early carriages parts I would be very interested most likely in several sets as I'm on an early coach building program drawing and building bodies with the Silhouette cutter.

Re: LOCOMOTIVE and WAGON DRAWINGS
Bu--er it i wondered why when I built it my 0-4-0 Pug turned out the same length as an LMS Princess (or was that just the wheel base of the Hornby version)

Re: Current Situation with TLM
Don't take any chances Tony keep your self safe indoors.
As I said if you can put me a couple of open wagons aside but leave it all untill this is all over.
I've got plenty to be getting on with at home right now there's more important things to worry about.

Re: Oxford Rail Cowans-Sheldon 15t Crane.
I wondered the same thing David but thought it might be more viable to cut and remove the lowest section instead but which ever end you cut I sill worry you will be hampered by the general decreasing taper of the jib. I think all we can really do is speculate untill we actually have an example in fr...

Re: Oxford Rail Cowans-Sheldon 15t Crane.
Hmm hard one this can I live with the extra cut out in the Jib? I guess if push came to shove then I could but to be honest I doubt very few people would know or notice if you wanted to leave as is. Once one is sat before me I'll be able to have a good look to see if anything can be done maybe build...

Re: Livery query, C.R. 310A.
The fact it was scrapped in 1895 I very much doubt this or any of her type ever received the "light" blue livery. I would suggest its most likely a light effect making it look different at first glance as its not just a difference between the loco and tender there's some big shade veriations between...

Quintinshill anniversary
Just a thought chaps today is the 104 anniversary of the Quintinshill disaster. We should all give a thought for all the people who lost there lives in what was Brittains worst rail disaster.

Thanks to the member who sent me the PM with the information I wanted that was a great help and has let me build a complete picture of the layout of the station and how trains were operated.

Re: St. Fillans station track plan
Thanks Jim good to know but I was hoping for the track and signal plane for this station only.
Getting the book as fine as I'm sure it is and if funds allowed I would is a very expensive way of getting the basic information I would like on St Fillan station alone.

Re: Ballest over turnout sleepers
Hello David im working with a limited space (arent we all) But have drawn up a plan that circumnavigate the room and rather than over load it with features and detail I'm working on a plan that gives a complete oval (one wall will be the fiddle yard) it will be mainly a single track with a passing l...

Re: Ballest over turnout sleepers
Thanks Jim I figured as much but it was more a case of whishfull thinking than anything else.
Still I've got a few other ideas one being to replace some plastic sleeper with copper clad ones to get the look right
If done in sections I won't loose the turnouts geometry.

Ballest over turnout sleepers
Hi chaps your advice please. I want to lay a bit of track using Peco track which will include a couple of large radius turnouts. Being off the shelf Peco the turnouts will have no interlaced sleepers. My question is, is there a case for ballesting over the sleeper to disguise this fact. The period w...

That all looks brilliant Ross I especally enjoyed the videos.
Is there any chance of some close up photos of the lifting section by the door in both the open and closed position with maybe a description on how you went about it?
