Buchannan Street tunnel signal box

I'm hoping to put a model of this signal box on my new layout, Rockvilla Goods. I'm trying to find some dimensions so I can start with forward planning.
Can anybody help.

29 Class

I'm looking for information on the 29 Class. Nearly finished building one from the SE Finecast kit. Need information on the boiler bands. None of the photos I have shows the bands at all. Were they actually applied. I was assuming that the bands would follow standard practice.

Re: Gun carriage sets

I've now retaken the picture at a lower resolution, I think. If the picture isn't clear enough I can up the quality.
Now attached.
When it comes to painting, I assume that they would have been in the standard red oxide, black underframe, white lettering.
Any info welcome.
Cheers

Gun carriage sets

Working on 4mm models of the gun carriage sets seen in TL84 pages 9-14. Does anybody have any more details on the main girder or muzzle bolsters. At the moment I'm making up what I think these would have been like to try to get the required movement to enable the vehicles to negotiate curves. Any as...

Just to let you all know, Eaglesham is appearing in the January edition of British Railway Modelling. This should be in the shops about the 12th December. Some of the facts are not quite right but it looks OK. I'll be progressing the work on two extension boards that will have to be ready for exhibi...

W irons

At present I'm building "wee pug" using hornby model body and branchlines chassis.
I'm scratchbuilding the 4 wheel tender and I'm looking for outside W Irons in etched brass.
I know I had these in the past from the CRA but it was some time ago. Are they still available form anybody.

Re: 4mm locomotive lining - transfers?

Have you tried Modelmaster Decals, they have a website. Only problem is if you use the BR mixed traffic lining and reverse it you hit problems with the reverse curves. It would be OK for straight lines though.
They also do nice white/black/white lining sold as LNER.

Conner Cabs

Curve on cab front and roof. Made it all square with right angles and soldered a large piece of brass inside where the curve is formed. Then filed it so that it looked right. Not very pretty inside but can be covered with a coat of paint. Hope this helps.

Trying again to post picture of finished parcel van.
Never thought of these as anything but a 2 wheel vehicle.
Wheels and horse from Langley and springs from wagon spares.

Re: Modelling Paints

I painted two coaches with Peugeot Burgundy. One with black undercoat, the other without. The difference is noticeable.
Also works with blue locos, I'm using Precision Caley Prussian Blue.

Re: Modelling Paints

For any model, please consider the use of a black undercoat over the primer. This gives a deeper colour to the topcoat.
It can make an appreciable difference to the finished article.
