Re: True Line Models up-date

Tony, I'm sorry you haven't received the interest required to start the ball rolling with the suggested vehicles. As you know I've been quite prolific in my goods vehicle production with the Silhouette cutter and have now built everything on the proposed lists so would be only be duplication my exic...

Re: Diagram 46 mineral wagon fault

Sorry I've not had a chance to post any pictures up yet of one of the D46 wagons but my pc is down and I'm working from my I phone which takes a good photo but I've yet to work out how to adjust the photos resolution to be able to down load it on here if/when I do I will add one.

Re: Diagram 46 mineral wagon fault

Of what?

The photo in the first post shows the crown ring off set to much to the left as you look at it as you can see its closer to the left hand spring mounting strap.than the right hand one.

Re: TPO pick up net

Well I've been through the WCJS book the carriage book and a third book I have on TPOs and found nothing to indicate whether the TPOs No. 2 and 4 were fitted with nets but then again apart from the caption with the drawing in the carriage book I've found no evidence that they didn't. So is the state...

TPO pick up net

In the carriage book on P313 figure 42.2 shows a plan of a 6 wheel TPO possible No. 2 or 4 and the caption states although fitted with gear to drop off mail bags it has no pick up net. The question is did it have a pick up net but is just not shown on here for the clarity of the plans or did it run ...

Re: Drummond "3" layer coach paneling help please

Thankyou Jim I've got that book but somehow missed this picture. The beauty of this picture is of a quality that will stand blowing up without loosing the fine detail and I can clearly see how it works now so thanks again that's been a real help.

Re: Drummond "3" layer coach paneling help please

Thanks Mike, I think I see it now, the trouble was I was looking for three layers of paneling but it's actually really only two layers with a very heavy beading on the lower section.

Re: Drummond "3" layer coach paneling help please

Thankyou Jim unfortunately it's telling me I don't have permission to view the pictures which is a shame as I think they might have been helpfully. Again thanks Lindsay the pictures are helpfully but I'm still struggling to see it clearly to get the picture straight in my minds eye. I did see some 7...

Drummond "3" layer coach paneling help please

No matter how much I read about it and look at pictures I'm still finding it hard to get my head around the way the Drummond three layer paneling is laid out, I must have a mental block or something. So has any body got any good detailed photos of either real or model examples of how the paneling lo...

Re: Mystery carriage

Hello Mike, hmm this is a bit of a hotch potch. I must admit at first glance I wondered if it was a modified WCJS parcel sorting van as the windows and sliding doors looked to be in the same style but the clestory roof ruled that out unless the LNWR built there version with clestory roofs. If it is ...

Re: CR 72 Class Replica New-build project

I could be wrong but wasn't one of the trains in one of the sidings at Quintishill at the time of the disaster a returning train of empty open wagons from Wales which had been carrying roofing slates which suggests that they at least were transported stacked in open wagon

Re: Tender side frames

I've drawn a plan of the frame on the silhouette and would like to use that as a pattern to cut a set in brass and if there still available add some of the 5&9 under slung spring sets. Being the bodger that I am I hope to be able to round off the top of the axle boxes to give them a more Caley look....

26FT TPO No.2 Help please

Hello all i'm looking for a picture of any sort or quality of Caledonian 26ft TPO number 2 any view would be helpful even in its WCJS days so I can try and get some idea of the body panel layout. The general layout is shown as a diagram book type plan in both the carriage and WCJS books but it seems...
