Brake van colours in the verandah

Post by Graham Tipple » Fri Nov 10, 2017 12:21 pm

Dear Experts out there,
Please has anyone reliable information on the colours of the inside walls in the verandahs of the four wheeled (Caley Coaches kit) brake vans. I've scanned the wagon book to no avail.
Thanks in anticipation, Graham

Judging by the 6 wheeler at Bo'ness it was red oxide inside the verandahs, same as the outside, with a cream roof (whether the bracing on the roof is picked out in black depends on which verandah you stand in!).

Thanks, Lindsay. And the handrails are black. I wouldn't have known. I'll try to pick out the brake wheel and stand in black too. Best wishes, Graham

Is the interior roof of the Bo'ness van light blue as per the Locomotive Magazine article? I would have thought this would continue into the verandah areas. By the way, the company letters on the side a far too thin!

Best

Mike
