General Terminus crane

Post by Jim Summers »

In sorting out Jim Mac's papers, I came across an exchange of correspondence with a modelmaker, Edward Tiller. Back in 2012, Mr Tiller was seeking information from Jim on a wagon suitable for slinging on his model of the crane used at General Terminus, which of course Jim supplied comprehensively. In the subsequent correspondence, emerged a drawing, obtained from Armstrong's of their hydraulic dockside crane of 1848, and three photographs of the model.

The model is to 1/30 scale, and I am sure Mr. Tiller will be happy to let us admire his fine work and to help us understand more of General Terminus.
