Sound decoder

Mr Summers and I have just had the privilege of hearing the prototype sound decoder, produced by South West Digital, demonstrated by Carina McCall.
Excellent, realistic variety of genuine CR loco sounds, recorded at Aviemore.
Highly recommended.
Available very soon, price around £125

Spoke with southwest digital Friday regarding the imminent release of a sound decoder with recordings from 828.
They reported that a few more tweaks have been requested to the sound file.
The decoders could be available next week
Mine is on pre-order

David, you are right that release is imminent. I had an email from Steve at SWD this week with a draft datasheet for comment, and this is now being finalised. I think the tweaks you mentioned are not to the sound elements of the decoder, but to a couple of CVs controlling chuff sync. He confirmed that the CR 812 Class decoder will be available in the V5 LSmicro format inc. speaker at the special reduced price of £115.00 + Special delivery P+P.
