Not sure if this is the right category for this query, however...
I picked up the pictured static model of Caley 123 on eBay recently for less than a tener all in. There have been a few around on that platform in recent weeks. To me it looks remarkably like the old Triang model but I don't have one of those to hand to do an actual comparison. Can anyone enlighten me to the source/history of these static models please?

Re: 123 Static Model
This was mine -- genuine Triang. Pictured mid 70's, hence poor quality photograph. I wish I could remember what I did with it, because I certainly don't have it now.

Re: 123 Static Model
It might be one of the models from 'Great British Locomotives'
There's a thread on RM Web which has more info - looks like a magazine series.

It is a copy of the Tri-ang model, at least above the footplate. All the GBL locos were copies of RTR models. There's one in the loft on the off-chance that one day I might convert it into some sort of 4-4-0.

Doubt I'll ever do anything with the one I picked up but it looks nice as an ornament. Sort of thing the Riverside Museum should be knocking out as souvenirs
.
