'Shapeways' is a company, for Europe based in Holland and are 3D printers, they are not cheap but the following may be useful.
Guy Rixon (http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index. ... ?p=2847447 ) in RM web is one who uses them in 4mm scale.
His latest set if got a Great Eastern coach, and comprises spring/lamp tops, axleboxes, which seem to be close to Caledonian Railway designs. The buffer housing are not, NSR buffers from Wizard/51L look to be quite close (round base 4 bolt, with a fitted (solid) steel buffer head.
For two sets (less exchange rates for my card) for 2 sets is just over £20.00 - here is what they look like
The two rulers are for 4mm scale.
The 7ft, springs have very fine swing links and more flexible version for the centre axle. Now I will have to learn how to cut them off the carrier pieces!
How to do it, advice sought and offered.
