Roofs for Carriages

Post by tony brenchley »

This continues a discussion that started on the webinar on Saturday. Jim summers referred to my method of making removable plastikard roofs for the TLM D3 vans. This uses a 60 thou plastikard base that is a tight fit inside the body upon which is a longitudinal support for the roof. I have been using this method of making roofs for many years and they have stood the test of time.

I will attach some notes I originally wrote for the CR Modellers Forum, the predecessor of our current Forum. This describes the method for making a roof for a Decent Models 45' brake third with some other finishing touches.
