Has anyone built the above kit or even have one in their to-do cupboard? I'm interested in seeing pictures, even of the parts! Of particular interest are the tender castings (axlebox, springs, tank fillers) which are shared with other Caley tenders.

I do not have the kit but have looked closely at it on several occasions.
I cannot comment on the correctness of the castings but they are of high quality, as you would expect from LRM
Contact John Redrup of LRM, who is invariably very helpful, for further info.

Re: London Road 123 kit
Hi Alan,
I had a go at building it a good time back. At that time I found it to be a comprehensive kit, not easy but I got there in the end. Lining lets me down a bit , but it runs reasonably though lacks adhesion for heavy trains. Portescap motored if I remember correctly.

Re: London Road 123 kit
Fished out of the 'To Do' pile. Apart from a few bits of wire and the odd nut and bolt I think this is all the bits of the LRM kit (there are a few of Caley Jim's bits in the same box for other projects !)
Useful to read others' experience, mine won't need to shift more than the preserved coaches unless it has an (as yet also unbuilt) D40 coupled inside it !

Thanks Stuart. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Stuarts pics explain it all I think , but to add a bit these are a couple of closeups of the parts fettled and fitted.
Must dust that hair off.
