16ton Boiler Tube Wagon

Post by Orbiston » Sat Mar 09, 2019 1:53 pm

Could anyone suggest what a typical load might be? Please don't say boiler tubes. Would it be a single large diameter tube or a number of smaller diameter tubes of what sort of diameter?

If you're talking about the Diagram 114 wagons, the first lot were built in 1913 as a result of a complaint from Stewarts and Lloyds about failure to supply suitable wagons to carry pipes for the modernisation of Glasgow's water supply - see wagon book p.129.
