3 1/2" gauge track.

Post by dunalastairv »

As a complete novice in this field, can anyone direct me to suppliers of 3 1/2" gauge, (1:16) 4-hole rail-chairs, and steel bull-head rail? I'm hoping to make up my own fine-scale length of track to display my Dunalastair III model on. The sleepers themselves should present no problem in scaling down from the prototype.

Thanks in advance, Michael.

No. But Steam Workshop do nice 2-bolt chairs and Shapeways have GER 4-bolt chairs by "Off the Rails" which they could doubtless scale up to 3 1/2".

Or, there are some very capable CAD users on this forum - somebody might draw out a proper CR chair and have it solid printed, then cast. Might not be as expensive as you think. That's what I did for LNWR chairs in 2 1/2in gauge.

Michael,

I note elsewhere that you were researching the builder of the model colliery. You may be interested that three of the wagons are currently on ebay. Drop me a note if you are interested as you'll never find them on ebay otherwise!
