I came across this video on Youtube starring the late John (complete with the odd expletive) and the late Tom McGhee, which brought back many memories. I had the good fortune to live on the other side of the dual carriageway from John.
I would be interesting to know when it was done and who did the video.

An impressive set-up with an impressive amount of stock and some atmospheric industrial scenery.
According to the response to one of the comments, it was the poster's father, Donald Campbell, who filmed it.

Jim,
That is a nostalgic clip - not only of John and Tom, but also of the layout which I saw in operation a few times.

Thanks for posting the link, I enjoyed watching that.
A huge collection of stock, and it seemed to run well.

John was always a good customer! A lot of his stock was built by Robin McHugh.

Wonderful. I did not know about this model and obviously missed a treat.

Tony,
To my mind, the notable thing was that whereas most of us would have one example of a class of locomotives, John had proper fleets of various classes.
One lovely scene was where he took the roof off the main station to reveal Kippendavie at a Boardroom table ruling that the Caley should not be allowed any coal.
Typical John.
