Hi, Two associated questions about the D&A and Carmyllie branch.
1. On David Hamilton's Locomotive Volume "The Formative Years" the photo on Page 106 of No.76A says it was taken at West Ferry. I'm not doubting that, but does anyone know what the evidence is for that statement?
2. An article in the Arbroath Herald in 1929 states that the first locomotive to work the Carmyllie after it got its Light Railway Order in 1900 was 0-4-2 No. 1410 with a stovepipe chimney. I assume this is a duplicate number for one of the 216 Class (No.410) but can anyone confirm does anyone have a photo of this locomotive (preferably with its 1410 number) as I would love to include it in my Dundee & Arbroath book when finished.
Any aspect related to the prototype stock.
